Theology Course

As a student of theology, history, and a variety of subjects, Elder Barber was concerned at the lack of formal training materals or curriculum for young ministers seeking to understand the science of theology from a distinctly Baptist and scriptural view. To that end, in the late 1970’s through the 1980’s, Elder Barber sought to develop such a course.

His intent was never to bind the mind or conscience of his students, but rather to introduce them to theology proper with a freedom to handle the principles of doctrine and practice with the confidence of one who knows the subject matter and is grounded in the authority of scripture in all things.

The result of his efforts will be presented here in the near future. A series of 48 lectures on systematic theology along with outlines, research and writing assignments, and a copy of J. P. Boyce’s Abstract of Theology with Elder Barber’s comments inserted.
